After years of technical leadership in Dubai, Qureshi brings extensive Swiss watchmaking experience to his current role at Tapper’s Jewelry in Michigan.
WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI, UNITED STATES, November 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — For certified watchmaker Suleman Qureshi, the transition from Dubai’s established luxury-watch market to Michigan’s Swiss watch servicing industry represents a new chapter in a career built across international service environments.
After more than 18 years of professional experience in the United Arab Emirates, Qureshi relocated to the United States in July 2025, bringing with him a background that combines hands-on watchmaking, technical management, and specialist training with leading Swiss watch manufacturers.
A Career Developed in Dubai’s Luxury Watch Industry
Qureshi’s professional journey in Dubai included significant responsibilities at Swiss Watch Services, part of the Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons organization, where he progressed into a senior technical position. His work involved coordinating service operations, supporting technical teams, and maintaining the demanding standards associated with luxury Swiss timepieces.
During his tenure, he supervised a multidisciplinary service team comprising 37 watchmakers, five polishers, three estimators, and two quality-control specialists. He also contributed to operational improvements, including the introduction of electronic service estimation procedures.
In 2012, he received the Star of Seddiqi Award in recognition of his professional contributions.
Qureshi subsequently joined Momentum in Dubai International Financial Centre, serving as Technical Manager from 2016 until 2025. In this position, he combined technical watchmaking responsibilities with service management, customer support, and the oversight of complex repair requirements.
Swiss Manufacturer Training Across Multiple Watchmaking Disciplines
Throughout his career, Qureshi completed specialized technical training with Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Chopard, developing experience across a broad range of mechanical movements and service procedures.
His Rolex qualifications include advanced chronograph training, while his Audemars Piguet and Chopard programs covered specialized mechanical calibers and servicing techniques.
Alongside his technical education, Qureshi earned an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Gloucestershire in 2023, strengthening the management perspective he developed through years of operational leadership.
Continuing His Career in the United States
In July 2025, Qureshi joined Tapper’s Jewelry in Michigan as a Rolex Certified Watchmaker, continuing his professional work within a Rolex-authorized retail and service environment.
His responsibilities include mechanical watch diagnosis, complete and partial servicing, technical assessments, and quality-focused service procedures consistent with applicable manufacturer requirements.
His move also introduced him to the operational practices and customer expectations of the American luxury-watch market, providing an opportunity to apply experience developed over many years in the Middle East.
“Working in Dubai gave me the opportunity to develop both technical expertise and an understanding of how a professional service operation functions,” Qureshi said. “Moving to the United States has allowed me to apply that experience in a different environment while continuing to learn and develop as a watchmaker.”
Experience That Connects Technical Skill and Service Leadership
Qureshi’s career reflects two complementary aspects of professional watchmaking: the practical precision required at the workbench and the organizational discipline needed to manage technical service operations.
His experience working with established luxury-watch businesses in the UAE, followed by his current position in Michigan, demonstrates how specialized technical skills can remain relevant across international markets.
As he continues his work in the United States, Qureshi remains focused on professional development, careful mechanical servicing, and contributing the experience gained throughout his international watchmaking career.
